1401 Richelieu

Richelieu, 1940, French battleship. 35,000 t standard, ~32 kn. 8 × 38 cm guns in two quadruple turrets, 9 × 15.2 cm, heavy AA armament. After the 1940 armistice based at Dakar; later joined the Allied forces. Modernised in the USA, deployed to the Pacific in 1944/45.
